Exploring Yosemite ValleyDespite the fact that the Yosemite National Park in California spans over one thousand square miles, the most popular area of land in all of that is the seven miles that make up Yosemite Valley. While much of the rest of the park is closed throughout the year due to snow fall and other weather conditions, Yosemite Valley is one of the few areas that do not close from September until April. In fact, this stretch of land does not close at all during the year. This is good new for vacationers and those that want to enjoy the winter beauty of Yosemite National Park. Within the Sierra Nevada mountain range, there are a variety of activities that are made available to guests throughout the year. There is skiing and snowboarding available, while some people are even able to experience snow shoeing throughout the Yosemite Valley with a tour guide. However, there are also activities in the Yosemite Valley for those that are interested in being a little warmer when they take in all the natural beauty that this valley has to offer. For example, this is a great time to go camping in the various campsites, and also to be able to go hiking or climbing. Warm weather makes these types of activities much more enjoyable, but some people would not want to give up the chance to experience the wintertime activities of this Valley as well, which is the main reason that the Yosemite Valley is open throughout the year while most of the rest of the park is closed for the winter. The Yosemite Valley is popular for a number of different reasons, but thanks to the diversified activities that are offered, every individual can find their own unique reason for falling in love with the picturesque plot of land. |
